WATER RECOVERY

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (Mercer County) --- Divers from Washington Fire Department were called to help remove a vehicle submerged in a small pond on Friday, March 27, 1998. Firefighters were called to the scene on Line Road near Mercer Street at 9:55 a.m. Fire department divers attached a line to the submerged auto, which was then hauled to shore. Police said the car had likely been stolen and dumped in the water.
