FATAL MISTAKE

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (Mercer County) --- A 79-year-old woman from Manchester Township was killed when her car collided with a tractor-trailer on Monday, May 4, 1998. The accident occurred about 1:35 p.m. at the intersection of Route 130 and Route 526. The woman allegedly drove through a red light and turned directly into the path of the tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer, which jack-knifed, spilled a small amount of diesel fuel on the roadway. The Washington Fire Department and the Allentown First Aid Squad responded.
