ACCIDENT OCCURS

NEAR FIREHOUSE

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (Mercer County) --- Washington firefighters did not have far to travel to respond to a three-truck accident that occurred on Wednesday, October 29, 1997. The pileup, which occurred just minutes after 11 a.m., happened in the southbound lanes of Route 130 almost directly outside the Washington Fire Department firehouse. Firefighters helped members of Allentown First Aid Squad (Monmouth County) care for two victims who suffered minor injuries in the wreck.
