WTFD PARTICIPATES IN NATIONAL CANDLE LIGHTING
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (Mercer)--The Washington Township Fire Department participated in the National Candle Lighting at 7 p.m. on Friday September 14, 2001. Candles were lit at 7 p.m. and placed around the flag pole in front of the firehouse. President Bush has declared today a day of prayer and remembrance for the victims of Tuesday's terrorist attacks, urging people and places of worship to hold noon memorial services and evening candlelight vigils.
