ANIMAL RESCUE
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (MERCER)--Firefighters were called to rescue a trapped baby bunny rabbit caught 6 feet below the surface in a storm drain on Valsing Way on Tuesday September 18, 2001. Firefighters were able to remove the storm grate and descend into the hole to remove the rabbit. The baby rabbit made a cry to signal for its mother and mom came running to protect its offspring. Once released into the grass mom and baby made their way back to the wild.
