WASHINGTON TWP PARTICIPATES IN PARADE
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP (Mercer County)—The Washington
Township Fire Department participated in the annual Mercer County Fire
Prevention Parade on Saturday October 7, 2000. This year’s host was the
Nottingham Fire Company (Mercer Sta. 17). The parade started at 1 p.m. on
Nottingham Way and wound though several developments before ending up at the
firehouse on Mercer Street. There was entertainment in a park across from the
firehouse all afternoon. Later in the afternoon trophies were given out,
Washington Township received a second place trophy for best appearing brush
truck.
