MUTUAL AID TO ALLENTOWN
UPPER FREEHOLD TWP (Monmouth County)—Firefighters
from the Washington Township Fire Department responded to assist the Hope Fire
Company of Allentown with a fully involved house fire on Tuesday January 2,
2001. The fire started around 10:30 a.m. at a residents on Babbitt Drive, mutual
aid was called from several area departments to assist Allentown with their
fire. Fire burned out of control for over an hour and firefighters were still on
the scene at 1:30 p.m. Departments responding were Allentown, Washington,
Millstone, Groveville, Nottingham, and several others.
