  SANTA’S ARRIVAL DELAYED

BY BAD WEATHER

                  WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (Mercer)—Bad weather pounded the area on Sunday December 17, 2000 causing Santa’s arrival to be rescheduled to Wednesday December 20, 2000.

Santa decided to postpone the visit to the township because of high winds, electric wires down and flying debris. Santa stated the rain deer and himself could have easily made it through the storm but was concerned for the children’s safety. Santa decided that Wednesday Night would be safer time and postponed his visit until then. Children can meet Santa at two convenient locations, The Pond Road Middle School on Pond Road or the Washington Township Fire Department on Route 130.  Parents having any questions can call the fire station at (609) 259-7814 or visit our website at http://www.wtfd.org
