4th ALARM IN UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP

UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP (MONMOUTH)--A four alarm fire ripped though a large mansion on top of a hill off of Yellow Meeting House Road on August 27, 2001. Washington Township Firefighters responded to provide mutual aid to combat the fire. Firefighters had to stretch hose lines up a long lane and up a steep hill to get water to the fire. At the time of this report firefighters were still out at the scene of the fire. Further information to follow.
