Smoke Bomb Causes a Stir at The Lofts of Washington

 

Robbinsville (Mercer County)- During the late afternoon hours of July 31, fire fighters were dispatched to 2350 Rt. 33 for a report of a building fire. Reports from Robbinsville PD and other occupants on scene was that there was smoke in the building and smelled like there was a fire. Station 40 units, Engine 19, Tower 17, and Engine 12 arrived and investigated within minutes. Investigation revealed in the kitchen area of a restaurant that is currently undergoing construction three (3) fire system testing smoke bombs were found inside the ventilation system. Crews remained on scene with ventilation to clear smoke that filled the first, second and some of the third floor of the Lofts.
