Volunteers Drill on Pump Operations
Washington Township (Mercer)- On May 29,2007 volunteer fire fighters from the
fire house manned Engine 401 and 402 and had an Engine Pump Operations drill
simulating hose lays, attack methods, supply and discharge, and much more.
Becoming familiar with the pump and what to do in certain situations is
critical. Drill on this night lasted about 2 hours with different evolutions and
situations followed by proper clean up and packing of the hose to place the
engines’ back in service.
