Vehicle Fire Drill
Washington Township (Mercer County)- Volunteer fire fighters, Deputy 40 and Chief 40 all participated in a Motor Vehicle Fire drill at the Dempster Fire Academy on the night of June 5th, 2007. Crews from Engine 401 and 402 simulated responding to a vehicle fire with proper size up and attack methods. As one engine arrived and went in service, the second due engine arrived to serve as extra man power incase of an emergency. As the night went on, the fires began to grow larger and burn longer. As the first due engine went into service, command ordered the second due engine to go into service and aid with extinguishment. Many evolutions took place with different techniques of extinguishment through out the night and crews were satisfied with how well the drill went.
