Fall Victim At Construction Site

Washington Twp. (Mercer) – On 08-02-07 Station 40(Washington Twp Fire Department) Group 1 was dispatched out to the area of Olivia Road at the new Construction for a fall victim. Rescue 140-10, EMS 40(Captain Towner), FM-40 (Captain Symons), and Engine 40 lead by Captain Palmer had all checked in service responding. As units were responding they were advised by LifeCom dispatch that they were unsure from what height the person fell from. With this information Rescue 140-10’s crew requested that ALS was added to this assignment. All units arrived at the same time. Crews had found a male lying on his back. Workers stated he fell from a ladder unsure on the height. Upon further investigation crews believe that the worker fell from a height no great than 8 feet.The male victim was immobilized for transport. Engine 40’s crew along with Captain Towner assisted Rescue 140-10’s crew with removal of the victim from the rear of the house. Rescue 140-10 transported the victim to the Trauma center with serious injuries. The patient ‘s condition is unknown at the time of this article.
