Department Drill at Burlington County Fire Academy

Burlington County- Fire Fighters from the Washington Township Fire Department participated in their annual "Live Burn" training at the Burlington County Fire Academy on April 11, 2007. Members were placed into two groups and were given tasks of search and rescue, fire suppression and R.I.T. team operations. Crews entered the structure through the 2nd floor window on the Delta side, performed primary search along with locating the fire and extinguishing the fire. As fire was progressing on the 1st floor, a second team entered the structure through the Alpha side and performed the same tasks as the division 2 team. After the primary search and fire extinguishment was completed on the first floor, the crew was advised by command to assist the division 2 team with their search and aid in fire extinguishment. Training took place throughout the day beginning at 800 hrs and ending at 1600 hrs.
