Washington Twp.
Volunteers start of ’07 year with an SCBA refresher
Washington Township (Mercer)- January 16, 2007
started off the year right for Volunteer Fire Fighters at the Fire House. At
1900 hours, the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Fighters gathered in their
meeting room to being their Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Training
and Refresher for the year. Drill consisted of lecture and review of the
operation and functions of the Breathing Apparatus. In conclusion to the drill,
an obstacle course was set up inside the engine bay to simulate situations that
may occur inside of a building. Great appreciation is given to the career staff
for setting up the course and passing on their knowledge and advice.
(Captain Palmer allows Jr. Fire
Fighter R. Strano a chance to experience what it is like to wear an SCBA and
mask.)
