
Firefighters Extricate Accident Victim
Washington
Township (Mercer)--On Wednesday November 2, 2005, the Washington Township Fire
Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the
intersection of Route 33 and Washington Blvd. Arriving Firefighters found a two
vehicle accident with a mini-van rolled over onto the driver's side after being
struck broadside by a Lincoln Town Car. Firefighters extricated the driver of
the van and she was transported by Fire Department ambulance to a local Trauma
Center as a precaution. The driver of the Lincoln was cared for by Washington
Township firefighters until another ambulance arrived and she could be taken to
Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. Fire personnel remained on location
until the vehicle was up righted at which time the scene was turned over to
local police for investigation.
