Washington Township (Mercer)--Washington Township Day was held on June 11, 2005. The Washington Township Fire Department had a large display including a mobile Fire Safety House that was on loan from Hopewell Township. Firefighters handed out fire safety information at the display and talked to residents about safety concerns. Many children also entered the Fire Safety house and were taught a lot of fire safety tips as well as how to evacuate a house if there was a fire.
