Car into Woods

 

                Washington  Township (Mercer)--The Washington Township Fire Department clearing a call on the NJ Turnpike found a car off the roadway into the woods on the Exit 7A Interchange to I-195 East Bound at approximately 11:00 a.m. on August 8, 2005. Firefighters found one occupant trapped and immediately went to work using their Holmatro Rescue tools to remove the trapped passenger of the car. The extircation was performed in only 13 minutes even though several trees had to be removed plus cutting access into the car. The Washington Township Fire Department immediatly transported the patient to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton after the extrication.
