Hamilton Township (Mercer)--A five alarm fire tour though a document
destruction company and completely leveled the building and brought mutual
aid companies from almost all Mercer County and parts of Burlington,
Monmouth and Bucks County in PA to the scene. The fire was reported at
approximately 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday April 19, 2005 from callers in the area
reporting heavy black smoke and a full box assignment was sent. Chief 14
arrived on location and confirmed the working fire and immediately requested
a 2nd alarm to the scene. Within in a few more minutes a 3rd and 4th alarms
were struck because of needing multiple water supplies to feed master
streams at the scene. Eventually the fire went to 5 alarms with 2 alarms of
(six) tankers called from the region.
