Worker badly hurt in construction fall

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (MERCER)—A
construction worker was seriously hurt when he fell from atop a two-story house
under construction on Walters Road yesterday, authorities said.
The man, whose name was not available, fell 20 to 30 feet about 12:15 p.m. while
working on the roof. He was treated at the scene by EMTs from the Washington
Township Fire Department and Capital Health System paramedics.
The man was taken by ambulance to the trauma center at Capital Health System at
Fuld hospital in Trenton.
Washington Township police, who were investigating the incident, refused to
release any additional information yesterday afternoon.
