MVA Rt. 130 and South Gold Drive
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP (MERCER)—Firefighters from Washington Township Fire Department and Groveville Fire Department responded to a serious MVA at the intersection of Route 130 and South Gold Drive on Thursday February 20, 2003. The accident occurred approximately 9:38 a.m. when one of the vehicles apparently ran a red light and was broadsided by a sport utility vehicle causing serious injury to the driver of a car. When firefighters arrived they helped treat and remove the patient from the wreckage. Paramedics from Mercer County and an ambulance from Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Hamilton was also called to the scene and transported the patient to the trauma center at the Capitol Health System at Fuld in Trenton. The Hamilton Township Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
