Washington Twp Day
WASHINGTON TWP (MERCER)--Washington Township Day was held on Saturday June 8, 2002 at the Community Park on the corner of West Manor Way and Gordon Road. Firefighters set up a tent and met with township residents concerning first aid and fire prevention issues. Firefighters gave out the Vial of Life, a program started a few years ago where residents keep valuable life saving information in a special container in their refrigerator. Children ages 9 and 10 had their parents register for the upcoming Safety Camp to be held at the firehouse on July 15th and 16th. Children as well as adults received tours of the ambulance and fire engine. Hand outs for fire prevention as well as first aid were available for adults and children received balloons to take home.
