WTFD Presents Community Service Award
WASHINGTON TWP (MERCER)--An 8th grade awards ceremony was held at the Pond Road Middle School on Monday June 17, 2002. The Washington Township Fire Department presented 8th grade student Kayley Russell an award for strong community service.
One of the first people to volunteer whenever help is needed, this student is known for her cheerful outlook and willingness to serve others. She has been active in many school activities, ranging from sports to student council to school plays. Her dedication to working with children with special needs and her love for her family and friend has gained her the admiration of her peers and staff members. Because of the experience she has received while coaching and supervising children with a variety of handicaps, she is planning a career in this field. It is with great pleasure that the Washington Township Fire Department awards a $100. Savings Bond to Kayley Russell for her strong commitment to community service.
