9-11 bike escort though town

WASHINGTON TWP (MERCER)--Bicyclists on a 9-11 memorial road trip en route to the crash site in Pennsylvania passed though town on September 6, 2002. The Washington Township Fire Department was asked to give a fire department escort for the bicyclists in the "Cycle of Freedom" tour. The fire department gave and escort though town to the Hamilton Township border where the escort was then picked up by the Nottingham Fire Department.
