Serious MVA with pin on Old York Road

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP/UPPER FREEHOLD (MERCER/MONMOUTH)--A serious accident on Old York Road in the New Sharon section of town injured a woman and pinned her in her car July 19, 2002. The accident occurred around 4:55 p.m. when a pick up truck broad sided a car and pushed it down an embankment trapping the driver of the car. Firefighters from the Hope Fire Company of Allentown performed the extrication while firefighters from Washington Township Fire Department assisted and treated the patient and transported her to the Capitol Health System's trauma unit in Trenton. The Mercer County Paramedics from the Capitol Health System also treated the patient en route to the hospital. Washington Township Police Department is performing the accident investigation.
